If We Were Having Coffee Right Now…

I’d probably be ordering an iced latte… even if it’s colder than it should be.

We’d find a quiet table near the window and I’d probably spend the first few minutes people-watching before getting distracted by a dog walking past.

I’d tell you I’ve been trying to spend a little less time scrolling and a little more time enjoying the small things.

Morning sunshine.

Fresh coffee.

Music playing in the background while I tidy the house.

Those tiny moments seem to matter more the older I get.

I’d probably ask what you’ve been watching lately because I’m always looking for something new.

Then we’d somehow end up talking about travel, favourite comfort food, and whether beach sunsets are better than mountain views.

Knowing me, I’d also end up laughing because I’d almost certainly spill my coffee at least once.

Life feels lighter when conversations don’t need an agenda.

Just two people sharing a little bit of their day.

If we really were sitting across from each other right now, I’d ask you one simple question before we left:

How have you really been lately?

Why I Always End Up Awake at 2am Thinking About Life

I don’t know what it is about 2am, but it always seems to be the time my brain decides it wants to replay every conversation I’ve ever had. During the day I’m busy enough that I don’t really notice it
